Traditionally, this is a two-day symposium
covering all phenomena of ion-atom collisions
including excitation, ionisation, multiple ionisation
and capture reactions in ion-atom collisions from
sub-thermal to relativistic velocities and interactions
of highly charged ions with surfaces, molecules
and clusters.
Presentations will include invited talks
and one or two poster sessions. The following
topics will be of special interest depending on
participation:
- fundamental processes in ion-atom interactions
- ion-surface and ion-solid interactions
- fragmentation of molecules and clusters
- ion collisions with targets in MOTs
- laser assisted collisions -- related photon
phenomena and techniques
- atomic collision processes and fusion plasmas
- News and developments at new accelerator facilities
under construction
- Novel experimental techniques and instrumentation
- Applications
Additional
topics covered by the SPARC topical meeting on
Electron spectrometry in the New Experimental
Storage Ring will include:
-
Electron and positron emission in energetic heavy
ion/antiproton-atom collisions
-
Auger electron and X-ray emission from high-Z
few-electron ions
-
High resolution Conversion electron spectrometry
-
Forward electron spectroscopy at heavy ion storage
